The Ivy Glasgow and The Ivy Asia open their doors at landmark new St Vincent Place destination
THE Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and The Ivy Asia Glasgow have today officially opened their doors at 30–40 St Vincent Place, bringing two distinctive dining experiences to one of the city’s most striking historic buildings.
The opening marks a new chapter for The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, which has relocated from Buchanan Street to a spectacular new home, alongside the highly anticipated Scottish debut of The Ivy Asia. Together, the restaurants combine The Ivy Collection’s signature all-day dining with The Ivy Asia’s bold Asian-inspired flavours and theatrical approach to dining.
Set within a Grade A-listed former banking hall dating back to the 1870s, the new destination brings fresh life to one of Glasgow’s architectural landmarks. Originally designed by architect John Burnet Senior, the building retains its remarkable historic character, with soaring ceilings, ornate detailing and a magnificent glass dome providing the backdrop for the two restaurants.
At The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, the glass dome takes centre stage, illuminating the grand dining room and its statement central tree, which rises above the central bar. Elegant architectural columns, rich upholstery, bespoke artwork and carefully considered design details bring contemporary style to the historic setting.
The new brasserie continues The Ivy’s established all-day dining experience, welcoming guests for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Its menu brings together contemporary classics, seasonal specials and much-loved Ivy signature dishes, offering a destination for everything from everyday dining to special occasions.
Meanwhile, The Ivy Asia Glasgow introduces an entirely new dining concept to the Scottish market. Known for its immersive interiors, vibrant atmosphere and Asian-inspired menu, the restaurant offers a more theatrical experience, where food, design and hospitality come together.
Inside, illuminated jade-coloured agate flooring glows beneath richly gilded ceilings, complemented by ornate bamboo-inspired detailing, striking cherry blossom trees, decorative lanterns and sumptuous velvet furnishings. The distinctive setting is matched by a menu of Asian-inspired dishes, beautifully presented plates and hand-crafted sushi, alongside an extensive drinks offering.
The two restaurants have been brought to life through a considered design approach that celebrates the building’s heritage while giving each space its own identity. Bespoke wallpapers, curated artwork and intricate detailing connect the interiors to their historic surroundings, while allowing The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and The Ivy Asia to offer two distinct experiences under one roof.
