Pipers and Lion Dancers mark The Ivy Asia Glasgow opening and The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie Relocation

Hong Lok Dragon and Lion dancers, Mugen Taiko performing group and Uddingston Pipe Band came together on Buchanan Street in Glasgow for a colourful spectacle celebrating traditional Scottish and Asian culture, as reservations opened for The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and The Ivy Asia Glasgow.

The performance marked the arrival of The Ivy Asia in Scotland and the relocation of The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, which will both open at the landmark St Vincent Place building.

The 30-strong performance featured 13 pipers, eight members of the Mugen Taiko Performing Group and the Glasgow Hong Lok Dragon and Lion Dancing Troupe, bringing together Scottish and Asian influences ahead of the new destination opening at the landmark St Vincent Place building.

The performance marked the coming together of The Ivy Asia and The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, which will sit alongside each other at the new Glasgow destination, with The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie relocating from Buchanan Street to its new home.

The Ivy Asia Glasgow will officially open on Tuesday 20 October, marking its Scottish debut.

The opening forms part of a wider change for the St Vincent Place and Buchanan Street sites, with more to be confirmed soon.

Further details on The Ivy Asia Glasgow and The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie, including menus and first-look images, will be announced in the coming weeks.
